Do you ever stop to think about where your food comes from?
The food industry has a major impact on the world we live in. Harmful agricultural practices and unfair trade have devastating effects on the environment and the lives of people. On the 16th of October, Fairfood International is launching a viral video campaign ‘Face Your Food’ to compel people to reflect on these issues.
For this campaign, people from across the world are invited to film themselves while eating. The video will then be automatically slowed down and played backwards. By reversing the normal course of things, we believe people will look at their food in a different light and start thinking about where it comes from and what was involved in its production.
Food and beverage production companies have both the power and responsibility to produce food in a sustainable way. And as a non-profit lobby organisation, that encourages food and beverage companies to make their products more sustainable, we at Fairfood International want to make sure they live up to their responsibility.
